Blacksmith Wax - Original 4oz

$13.99

Blacksmiths Wax is a shop-developed blend of natural waxes and oils designed to protect, enhance, and preserve metal and wood surfaces. Originally created for hot forged steel, it brings out deep color, adds a durable protective layer, and leaves a smooth, hand-rubbed finish that looks right—not artificial.

This isn’t a decorative coating—it’s a working finish used by fabricators, blacksmiths, and craftsmen who need something that performs in real conditions.

Key Uses

  • Protects forged, raw, and patina steel from rust

  • Enhances depth and color of metal surfaces

  • Finishes wood with a natural, low-sheen look

  • Lubricates screws and fasteners without staining light woods

  • Ideal for shop, home, and restoration work

How to Use

For Hot Steel (Best Method)

  1. Heat metal to warm/hot (not glowing)

  2. Apply a small amount of wax directly to the surface

  3. Allow it to melt and spread evenly

  4. Wipe off excess with a clean rag

Result: Deep penetration and a rich, durable finish

For Cold Metal

  1. Make sure surface is clean and dry

  2. Apply a thin coat with a cloth or brush

  3. Let sit for 5–10 minutes

  4. Buff to desired sheen

For Wood

  1. Apply a light coat with a cloth

  2. Let absorb for several minutes

  3. Buff clean

Will not stain most light woods when used on fasteners
